Ingredients
  • 225g Puff Pastry
  • 200g Goat Cheese
  • 200g Bacon
  • 2 Onions
  • 5 Thyme Sprigs
  • 4tsp Honey
    Step 1

Make them with bacon: BBQ appetiser from the Pizza Stone
Roll out the puff pastry in many little 10 cm squares. Cut the goat cheese in 0,5 cm thick coins and place them in the middle of the squares. Wrap them up in bacon and put on some onion rings.

    Step 2

Place Otto’s Pizza Stone at the bottom of the Otto Grill and preheat it onto 1500 °F for three minutes. The Pizza Stone is made from food-safe cordierite and will absorb the heat pretty fast. Alternatively, you can even use Otto’s Pizza Stone in the oven.

    Step 3

Put the already prepared canapes on the Pizza Stone and set the burners on the lowest stage. The puff pastry will get burned easily, so make sure to always pay attention. As soon as the edges take up a slight golden-brown color, turn off the burners. Let them sit for a while and thanks to the Pizza Stone, they’ll get a stone-oven aroma. When the goat cheese has melted, and the bacon starts to bend, take the grilled canapes out of the Otto Grill.

    Step 4

    Serve & Enjoy!
Drizzle a little honey over the pastries directly after the grilling process and refine them with some thyme. Crunch time! Enjoy your pastry appetizer!
